DESCRIPTION:
Howard & Davis, Boston, Mass., "No. 5 Banjo" wall clock 8 day time only weight driven movement in square bottom rosewood grain painted cherry case with paper over metal dial, c1845
CONDITION:
the case retains its original finish with age splits to bezel and to lower part of throat panel where screws anchor it to case. The weight baffle is replaced and now lacking tie down. The original paint on throat and lower door tablet with very minor flaking and the top glass is replaced and held into the bezel by nails. The unsigned movement appears to be original to the case. The original "HOWARD & DAVIS, BOSTON" signed dial is in excellent condition and the original weight is stamped with a "V". Ht 29"
